Bishopshalt achieves Artsmark Gold Award

We are delighted that Bishopshalt has once again achieved the Arts Council England's Artsmark Gold Award in recognition of our commitment to championing the arts and cultural education. 

We are extremely proud to get external recognition for the work our Performing Arts team are delivering and some of the comments received from our assessors are fantastic: 

'Bishopshalt School has a well-established history of commitment to the arts and you have built on this during your Artsmark journey despite the inevitable difficulties created by the pandemic. You have reversed the decline in KS4 arts uptake that followed the pandemic in many schools and have extended your range of offer, in clubs, trips and visiting professional workshops. Your timetable at KS3 gives significant allocation to the discrete arts subjects and it is clear that the arts are a valued and integral part of school life.'
